An Open Letter To My Home Team


Everybody has a home team: It’s the people you call when you get a flat tire or when something terrible happens. It’s the people who, near or far, know everything that’s wrong with you and love you anyways. These are the ones who tell you their secrets, who get themselves a glass of water without asking when they’re at your house. These are your people, your middle-of-the-night, no-matter-what people.”

Back in early December of 2016, I remember thinking about how good life has been to me, I  was astounded. I had a husband, friends, family, a career…everything I’ve ever wanted. Until December 26th. December 26th, the day the life I thought I wanted; ended. I had spoken too soon.

I wont go into details…yet. I will say a few things though, I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination. Things are different now, I’ve heard people say…your life can change…

  1. Im guessing this is just a reblog since you said you weren’t married? Im not sure. If it isn’t just know one person is trying to get to know you, whether it be by blog alone. And he will try to be on your home team
