When you truly care for someone, you tend to look past all of their flaws. You ignore every single warning sign. You believe every single lie. Because you want to have faith in the fact that they are this picture perfect entity. You want to believe that you’ve found your best friend, your lover, your confidant. You believe it because you could confide in them. You felt comfortable in your own skin around them. You can tell them every horrible story about yourself, every blessing that you’ve ever received because for once- someone isn’t judging you. They’ve accepted the broken person that you are and loved you for it. In return, it made you blind. It made you a little bit colder. A little more rough around the edges. A little cynical. A little less hopeful. Friends can break your heart too. To me, it’s the worst kind of heart break. Because love truly is blind.
